Heads come in many sizes, shouldn't helmet shells!

    Most manufactures offer only one or two shell sizes, relying on extra foam to compensate for the lack of fit. This creates the potential for the helmet to shift during impact. Precise tooling of shells and a broader range of sizes separates Bell Racing helmets from other brands. Bell Racing helmets are more proportionately sized for better comfort and safety.

The Bell HP7 is the first helmet to meet the FIA 8860 standard and has been designed through close collaboration with leading F1 drivers and teams. The HP7 features an ultra-lightweight, all carbon shell and an advanced energy absorbing liner system. The helmet is available with or without chin spoiler, purpose designed top and chin bar vents to maximize airflow inside the helmet. The helmet comes equipped with HANS clips, a double screen anti fog visor and fleece lined helmet bag.

Bell Size Chart

Proper helmet fit is vital to the performance of a helmet during an impact. For the helmet to perform properly during an impact, it must stay securely on the head.

Measuring the head is only a starting point for the entire sizing procedure. Due to varying shapes, heads that are apparently the same size when measured be a tape, may not necessarily fit the same size helmet.

Although we would prefer you to stop by and try them on, sometimes this is not convenient. A small metal tape or a cloth tape may be used to make your initial measurement. You can also use a string, when can then be laid against a measuring tape.

Measure the circumference of a head at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front and at a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement. Take several measurements. The largest measurement is the one you want to use.

This will give you someplace to start.
