CarbonX as a Helmet Lining from Bell Helmets

There is simply no substitute for 100% fire protection, and only CarbonX delivers it. 
While other fire resistant fabrics provide some protection against flames, eventually
they all melt or breakdown, leaving users vulnerable and often seriously injured.
Only CarbonX stands up to heat or flames up to 2600 degrees, so only
CarbonX provides the ultimate protection and 100% peace-of-mind
today's race drivers and mechanics need. 

CarbonX nonflammable fabrics are the choice of serious drivers 
concerned about their safety, such as World of Outlaws Champion, 
Mark Kinser. Unlike all currently used fire retardant fabrics that burn 
and char while shrinking, 

    Although CarbonX is available only in black, when it is used as 
an insulation felt, interior layer or underwear, CarbonX will enhance 
the performance properties of the leading fire retardant fabrics, 
by starving their oxygen content. CarbonX is also more comfortable 
to wear than Nomex®, due to it's superior moisture wicking properties. 
Adding socks, head socks and underwear made from this material, improves 
comfort of multi-layered Nomex® uniforms to it's wearer, over Nomex® or 
cotton underwear.
